Terms of Service
Last updated: June 11, 2026
These terms govern your use of the SheetEngine website, waitlist, and — once launched — the SheetEngine add-on for Google Sheets™ and Google Docs™ (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these terms.
1. The Service
SheetEngine runs AI-powered processing on spreadsheet and document content you select, using AI models you choose. The Service is currently in pre-launch / beta: features may change, and availability is not guaranteed. Beta access is granted in waitlist order at our discretion.
2. Your account and keys
- You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure.
- If you bring your own API keys (BYOK), you are responsible for those keys, the provider's terms, and the charges the provider bills you. We store your keys encrypted and use them only to run jobs you initiate or schedule.
- You must have the right to process any data you submit through the Service.
3. Fees
- Plan pricing is shown on our pricing page. Founder pricing offered to early waitlist members is honored for as long as the subscription remains active.
- Managed-key usage is billed per our published per-model rate card. Every bulk job shows a projected cost before it runs; actual cost may vary slightly with output length.
- Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or where a job failed entirely due to our fault.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to violate any law, infringe others' rights, send spam, generate malware, attempt to breach or overload our systems, resell the Service without our written agreement, or violate the terms of Google or the AI model providers.
5. Your content
You own your content. You grant us only the limited rights needed to process it through the Service (pass it to the model provider you select and write results back). We retain no content — see our Privacy Policy. AI outputs may be inaccurate; you are responsible for reviewing results before relying on them.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. AI-generated output is probabilistic and may contain errors. During beta, we make no uptime commitments.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 3 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of data or profits.
8. Termination
You can stop using the Service and revoke its Google access at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, with notice where practicable. Sections 5–7 survive termination.
9. Third-party marks
Google Sheets™ and Google Docs™ are trademarks of Google LLC. SheetEngine is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, Talarian, or Clay Labs. Comparative statements on this site reflect publicly available information and our opinion.
10. Changes & contact
We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with an updated date, and registered users will be notified by email. Questions: [email protected]
